Assistant football coach Steve Axman has joined Arizona’s newest professional football team: the Arizona Hotshots.

Axman will fill a familiar role with the Hotshots as the team’s quarterbacks coach. He has been the Pumas’ QB coach since 2016..

The Hotshots are in their inaugural season of the brand new Alliance of American Football league which will kick off its first year Feb. 10. Former Univ. of Washington and UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel will lead the Hotshots, and his staff includes several coaches with college and professional coaching experience. Axman was an assistant coach for Neuheisel at Washington (1999-2002) and UCLA (2004), and previously coached for the Arizona Rattlers and Northern Ariz. Univ.
