First round Cat Fight: Pumas v Tigers
The preview to the Girl’s Soccer team first division match against Millenium.
As the girls soccer team dominated the regular season, they end up as the number two ranked giants that are one of the favorites. For the opening round of playoffs, the Pumas host ranked fifteenth Millennium Tigers. This 3 win team snuck into the playoffs coming out of the section two portion of division of hopes to continue their Cinderella story. However, one of the Tigers weaknesses can be seen in their offence as they only average 0.7 goals a game, thus being under the national average. To put this in perspective with the Pumas, both Kambree Meskill with 13 goals and Amanda Dahl with 11 goals have more or as much as the Tigers have the whole season (with 11 goals). What keeped the Tiger’s hopes alive; their defense which has only allowed 1.3 goals per game. Despite this though, the Pumas again has the advantage as they only allow 0.5 goals per game. In the end, expect a game that is decided between if the Puma’s top scoring offense and if they can repeat their advantages against the Tigers.
