New Shake Shack works up an appetite

The food foundation of America contains two very important factors: burgers and milkshakes. A classic that has continued down the line of the foody history.

A new Shake Shack has opened in the SanTan region, and people have definitely noticed.

Since the grand opening, there has always been a huge line to get into the burger joint.

The building itself is decently large, entering it there is the place to order in front of you and a sitting area to the left (though with the large amount of people, it is usually hard to find a place inside).

Within the indoor burger joint, the vivid, color contrast of white, green, and brown all complemented one another. It gave the entire place a modern chic feeling that could totally become the cool place to hang out with your friends.

Ordering is also incredibly easy, you can either choose to order from a cashier or go to their iPad lined up under the large menu resting on the wall.

After standing in line for about 5-7 minutes (I got there when the line was the shortest), I rushed to the iPad and ordered a cookies and cream shake, the Shack burger, and the Chick’n Shack.

One of the cool things about Shake and Shack is the variety of choices, want a hot dog? They got it! Chicken pieces? Yep! Frozen custard? Definitely! All of the options that fill the comfort food cravings all at an affordable price.

When paying on the iPad, you put in your number and automatically receive a text that would soon tell you when to go pick up your order from the counter.

This efficient method solves the situation where you have to awkwardly stand near the counter, attempting to avoid eye contact with the person next to you.

To the food itself, the burgers may have been on the smaller side, but as someone who does not eat in large portions, it was the perfect size. The Shack burger had a soft bun and core, so if you are a crunch lover, this may not be the burger for you. The meat was cooked well and every bite was a mouthful of flavor and satisfaction.

Personally, I preferred the Chick’n Shack, the chicken was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a proper balance to treat yourself to.

However, you cannot go to Shake Shack and NOT order a shake. The cookies and cream shake hit the sweet spot. I did not have to go through that waiting phase where the shake has to melt more to be able to consume. As soon as I got it, I was able to drink it with ease. Put a good shake and good burger together and you have reached a sense of foody nirvana.

Shake Shack not only checks the good food category, but the environmental friendly category as well! The cups are 100% compostable and the Angus beef is 100% all natural. They even have gluten free buns and safe options for those who have allergies. On their website all of the nutritional information can be found.

Overall, the service, food, and environment put together guarantee a fun, delicious night out. Trust me, your taste buds are ready for the Shake Shack experience.
