Only Murders in the Building is a crime series streaming on Hulu. Three strangers come together to solve a murder in an unlikely pairing.

The murder mystery Only Murders in the Building, which is streaming on Hulu, follows the story of three tenants who live in The Arconia: Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) as they attempt to solve a murder. These tenants come together to create a podcast titled Only Murders in the Building shortly after the death of a neighbor, Tim Kono. Although the death is ruled a suicide by the authorites, these three strongly disagree, and the story twists and turns with each new episode.

The first season is 10 episodes long. Each episode features a character that is somehow related to the story of Tim Kono, similarly to how an actual podcast will follow a new lead or idea in each new episode, but it all relates back to a central idea. In fact, the last episode is from the point of view of the late Tim Kono.

As the three strangers work on the podcast and solving the murder, their past reveals itself, unleashing secrets they all tried to keep hidden. As their secrets unfold, they have to learn to work with and accept each other and themselves for who they are. But through their investigation, they build their own community that supports them through their own personal struggles.

Although the team faces dramatic circumstances, viewers will be able to relate to the feelings of loneliness and being left behind, and will be able to understand the misfortunate relationships that the team finds themselves in as the trio tries to connect and work together under pressing circumstances.

Lovers of true crime will enjoy this series. Watchers can try to solve the mystery along with Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. Red herrings and false leads are sewn into the plot line, leaving you to wonder who the culprit is as the three podcasters chase down each new lead. Each episode will leave your head spinning in circles trying to figure out who exactly murdered Tim Kono.

The show has the plot twisting up until the last minute and keeps you second guessing who the murderer actually is. The ending will leave you wondering if there are any more murderers in the building and anxiously waiting for season two. There is no set release date for season two of Only Murders in the Building.

This series has received a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.2 on IMDb, and 9/10 on IGN.
