As the decade comes to a close, people begin to wonder what to buy as a gift for their relatives. If you know someone who loves video games, or you want to play one for yourself, there is a wide variety of games to choose from this year.
One of the most popular video games that was recently released is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The price is very reasonable and it is available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Microsoft Windows.
In this newly released game, you play as a somewhat trained Jedi Padawan, Cal Kestis.
The story begins with Cal working as a scrapper, stripping away old Star Destroyers. After Cal understands that he should follow his destiny as a Jedi, he begins to track down a stolen holocron.
A holocron is an object that has stored information about various topics that are important to the Jedi. This holocron contains the information about every force-sensitive child in the known galaxy. It is the player’s job to retrieve the holocron and keep it safe from the empire.
Another very popular game that was recently released was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, this game is well priced and is available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Microsoft Windows.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is somewhat of a reboot of the old Modern Warfare series. The story takes place in a fictional country, Urzikstan, while the Russians are trying to invade it. Throughout the campaign, you play as Alex (Chad Michael Collins), and Kyle Garrick (Elliot Knight).
There are three factions inside of Urzikstan that all have similar goals. There is the United States and United Kingdom faction, the vicious Russian occupiers of Urzikstan and the terrorist group known as Al-Qatala. The goal is to drive out the Russians and eliminate the Al-Qatala.
Another well reviewed game that would be worth looking into is Outer Worlds. This role playing game is compatible with Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
The story begins with a scientist working at the edge of Halcyon, a solar system that mankind managed to colonize. The scientist, Phineas Welles, finds an abandoned spacecraft that contains thousands of Earth settlers inside of cryotubes. Out of the thousands of people in cryosleep, Phineas Welles thaws out you, a janitor who has an imbalanced sense of right and wrong. You find yourself in this new solar system that has been overrun by massive corporations which have replaced all governments.
You can band together with people that you meet throughout the story and they will help you whenever you enter a battle. You can only band with two non-playable characters to help take down the enemies that you face.
Death Stranding is an all new action and adventure video game that has you interested all the way through the gameplay. The game is at a reasonable price and is available only on Playstation 4 and Microsoft Windows.
Death Stranding is set in a post-apocalyptic future where civilization has collapsed due to an event called the Death Stranding. The story follows Sam Bridges, the son of the former president of the United States. Inside of the United States, only a few cities and factions of bandits remain left.
Sam is a delivery man who is tasked with taking computer terminals from the East to the West Coast. He has to complete this task because it will help create the Chiral Network, a super version of the internet, which will help connect the last remaining cities.
In this post-apocalyptic environment, beached things, or BTs, are scattered around the landscape. BTs are invisible, violent ghost like beings that are stuck in between life and death. Sam has the natural ability to sense when a BT is near him. Your goal is to complete the treacherous journey to help rebuild society.
This last game isn’t new, but it is a great game to play with friends and family. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a teamwork puzzle game that is available on nearly all computer platforms, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
This puzzling bomb defusing game has you and a friend work together to keep one of you from exploding. You and your friend will decide who will handle the bomb and who will have the bomb defusing manual.
The bomb will have different modules on it. Each module is a different puzzle for the bomb handler to figure out with the help of the person with the bomb defusing manual. The person with the manual will have to tell the bomb handler how to complete each module.
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is great game to either improve a relationship or ruin it for a couple of minutes.
