As the weather cools down, Student Government gathers ideas to make this year’s winter dance one of the best. Requests were made by the student body and StuGo to revive the once famous winter dance.

Once the requests were answered, the student body suddenly lost interest in going to the dance.

Instead of collaborating a game plan with friends or a date to go, students starting calling the dance lame and uninteresting, but why the sudden change?

StuGo has made tremendous effort and spent a lot of money into making this dance one of the best and everyone should participate in the school’s festivities.

StuGo president  Aaron Clouse encourages the student body to attend the school’s dance. Clouse shares the plans for the success; the dance will contain food trucks, outside games, a DJ, and of course dancing.

“We want to try and include everyone” Clouse said, “Some people who don’t like going to school dances so we thought it would be cool to have both, people who really like going to dances, and for those who don’t.”

For students who claim the dance will be lame, you cannot predict the outcome of the future, and if you do not step out of your comfort zone and trying something new will get you nowhere.

This dance has incredible potential for being one of the best. Whether you dance, eat, or play games, all students should give it a try.

Another explanation for some students not attending the dance is because they do not have a date, or do not know who to ask.

High school is too short to worry about who is going to ask you to dance. It does not matter whether you get posed by a boy, a girl, or if you just go with a group of friends. What is important is that you are involved and participate in your school’s activities and enjoy your limited years of high school. So make memories, laugh uncontrollably, and have a great time in the puma nation.
