Perry is well known for its dedicated teachers who always go the extra mile to make school not only a safe environment but also an enjoyable one. The teachers and faculty work hard to make Perry the awesome school that it is. Many teachers that leave either return or retire. Lot’s of teachers that have worked here and at other schools actually prefer Perry due to its large demographic and interesting students and friendly teachers. Teachers enjoy their time here and they love the impact on their student’s lives.
Jeff Bader is the returning Spanish teacher. Bader taught Spanish for six years before retiring from Bash halfway through the year. Bader was invited back by the Spanish department because Bader had taught at Perry before. Bader stated “ so I thought I was retired,and then luckily for me,the Spanish department invited me back”. Bader has been a Spanish teacher for over six years, Bader stated “ I lived in Argentina.for a little portion of my life and when I got back,and I went to college,I thought, I know Spanish, so this will be easy”. Bader chose Perry because he was personally invited back but also how Bader felt towards Perry, Bader claimed “ It is a pretty amazing place for kids and amazing teachers,and a good strong administration”.
John Feula, a returning U.S Government teacher who teaches seniors also elaborates. Feudal was originally refer to Hamiltion high for a year but he received a call that Perry needed somebody so he was asked if he wanted to come back. Feudal had taught at Perry originally for 12 years and he stated “ I have lot of friends here in Perry high, and I taught here for 12 years, a lot of fun and so it was nice to return and see everybody again and be part of Perry. Bader also stated “ Perry is a good environment for, like teachers in general,it’s a good place to work, it’s a good place that you would like to recommend. I work with the best here at Perry and that’s where I want to do”. Feula has a deep care for his students, Feula claims “ There’s a big responsibility to come here and give my best and make sure that you guys walk out with information and very important stuff. Yeah, I feel a lot of responsibility to my students and you know,and I feel I give them what I have a lot and they give it back”. Feula wants to give his teacher all the knowledge he can give and his students will take.
It’s clear that Perry has built quite the reputation of being a good school not only for its students but for its teachers as well. It’s easy to make conclusions but the proof is in the pudding- Perry is the school people want to work at and it’s a great environment and it’s a progressive space for teachers to have room to grow with their students. It’s inspiring to think that these teachers are shaping the future.
