Police Presence

Perry looks to improve to 5-0 on their homecoming game this Friday with alumni and current student gathering in the crowd to cheer them on as they battle against Corona del Sol.

Football games attendance is close to 2000 people every game, with the homecoming game this weekend and one of the biggest games of the year you would think security presence would increase due to the amount of people that are expected to show up.

“2 or 3 police officers at a normal game” said Jennifer Burks head of athletics she also said there would be no increase in security presence, however “ all 9 security guards would be at the game to deal with the minor problems with students and police are there just in case things get out of hand.

“There will be 3 police officers at the game” Burks also said, since every game is a big event there is no need to increase security presence. While there are only 3 police officers at the game that should be enough since most students would not want to get arrested or kicked out. You might ask why only 3 officers for 2 thousand plus people at a high school football game? The administration feels that is enough security for the task at hand and with a total of 12 people ready to take care of problems on hand they feel the game should run smoothly and safely.

Security will be all around the field this upcoming Friday looking out for trouble to make sure the game runs smoothly and everyone is able to enjoy their night.
