Volleyball moves on to third game against Mesa High in state playoffs

Playing the first game of playoffs Perry defeated McClintock 3-0 in sets at Sahuaro High. The first set was only won by four points but the next two sets Perry won by 15 points to only better their record to 37-7. Jalen Cross with kills, Wyatt Veach with blocks, and Michael Hoffman with digs all made key contributions to defeat McClintock. Obviously moving on with their skill the team faces Sahuaro who beat their last opponent Tucson High Magnet School 2-0 in sets. The game was held at Sahuaro High, turning home court advantage against Perry.

After the 3-0 set victory over McClintock; Perry moved to face their next opponent Sahuaro High. Home court did not prove to be a trouble among the players as the match took the same form as McClintock; a 3-0 set victory over Sahuaro. The whole team contributed blocks, digs, and kills to defeat Sahuaro in a crushing victory. The next match in the playoffs is at first in state Mesa High School on Tuesday 13 at 7 pm. With outlooks on games played recently in the playoffs, this game is sure to be intensely close and a challenge for Perry.
