Parking Lot Underway

With construction going strong with the new student parking lot, there is with high hopes that it will solve student parking woes next year. This school year was full of issues regarding student parking, whether that be in the Flipside parking lot across the street or students receiving parking tickets for parking in residential areas. The owners of the Flipside parking lot had so many problems with students taking up all their spots, they had to restrict the areas students were permitted to park to only a few parking spaces in the middle of the lot. Security from the school also had to get involved to regulate the student’s parking at Flipside.

In the new lot, Principal Dan Serrano hopes that he can get students with zero hour classes and half days their parking passes for the new lot first  in order to relieve congestion that would occur with parents picking up students in the same area. Adding an additional lot to the school with help get students out of parking in the Flipside parking lot and causing further tension with the owners of the property and get students out of residential areas. The addition of a new student parking lot will also accommodate the ever growing population of the school as the years go on. Most importantly, the new parking lot will be finished, just in time for the humongous incoming senior class. With the 2.5 acres of property next to the new parking lot still available for purchase, it’s with high hopes that in the near future, it will become an addition to the student parking lot as well.
