Annual Academic Awards

Throughout the year, award nights are hosted to celebrate the achievements of students at the school. The more recent awards nights were hosted to celebrate the students’ academic achievements throughout the year. Students who are invited to these awards nights need to maintain a 3.8 GPA or higher throughout the year, a very hard task for some people. These students throughout the year work their hardest to maintain their GPA’s through rigorous school work and dedication to their academic life.

Students are invited to their awards nights to celebrate their academic achievements, whether that be their success in Career Technical Education (CTE) or their grade point average for the school year.

Sophomore awards night was on May 8, while Junior and Senior awards nights occur the next two mondays after.  Students like sophomore Breanne Latt were proud to receive their award,

“The award in itself isn’t a huge accomplishment, it’s really just a symbol of hard work to get good grades,” Latt said. “However, it is nice to get something back and recognition for my GPA.”

Sophomores receive a varsity letter along with their certificate. While juniors and seniors receive a bar along with their certificate. GPA award night is a tradition that will last a lifetime and remain a special reminder of how much students have achieved in their school year. .
