What to expect for the week of morp
On March 4, Perry’s parking lot will be transformed from an everyday space to a kaleidoscope of colors. The ‘Color Craze’ morp dance is nearing closer, and along with it, a great deal of spirit. Join in on the fun by coordinating your outfits with these spirit days:
- Monday, Feb. 27: Green Day
–Show your spirit by wearing your favorite band and concert shirts!
- Tuesday, Feb. 28: 80’s Neon Workout
–Pull out your scrunchies, leg warmers, or any neon workout attire that echoes the classic decade! This is a regular day, and there are no block periods.
- Wednesday, Mar. 1: Rainbow Road
–Dress as your favorite Nintendo character. Ex: Princess Peach, Mario, Donkey Kong. You can be as crazy and fun as you want! This is also a non-block day, and students should attend all class periods.
- Thursday, Mar. 2: Tie Dye
–This one speaks for itself; break out that colorful tie dye clothing! Thursday will be a block day this week; classes 1, 3, and 5 only.
- Friday, Feb. 3: White out
–Dress in all white in anticipation for the school dance! Friday is also a block day and students will attend periods 2, 4, and 6.
The dance starts at 7 p.m., and goes until 10 p.m. If you are unsure what the experience entails, just think of any other event with music, dancing, and friends. But what makes this one stand out are the plumes of color that will engulf the crowd.
According to Stugo, the color thrown is a powder made from a cornstarch base with cosmetic and food ingredients. A new color will be added every 45 minutes, prolonging the experience until the end of the night.
Tickets are $22 presale without an activity card, and $20 with one. At the door, tickets cost $25. Make sure to arrive at the dance dressed in white, and don’t wear anything you don’t want to get color on.
