This season for Perry’s girls basketball team is anticipated to be a successful one, with more experience, increased talent, and a closer bond between the team. Girls basketball Head Coach Brock Kearsley sees a lot of potential for an effective and talent-filled season.

According to Kearsley, the girls this year have worked to be in better shape. Kearsley said, “We’re in a lot better shape than what we’ve been in the past, more prepared, and more experienced.” With this improved and enhanced team, they may put forth a great season.

In order to become a more effective team, they have been “trying to [become] closer, to hold each other accountable, and to teach them all leadership” according to Kearsley.

Extra preparation for this season has been enacted year round. Kearsley said, “how much we’ve done over the summer the last two years is paying off. Those kids that were freshmen are now juniors and seniors.”
