Puma’s astounding offensive game plan
The Perry Pumas had a lot to prove of themselves as they were going up again Sunny Slide in the first game of the season. The team was led by the star quarterback, Austen Nightingale.
Nightingale had quite the game to remember. The key play of the game was a fake handoff where Austen ran it in for the touchdown picking up a 52-yard touchdown run play. By the end of the first quarter the Pumas were only winning by a score of 14-6. The game was close up until the third quarter where the Pumas started to run away with the game.
Nightingale gave the team hope and looks to further their chances to make the playoffs this season. The Pumas play @Sandra next week. If they win their record will increase to 2-0 and possibly further their chances of being a serious contender. If the Pumas play like this they could fulfill their goals of being a better team all around. With a player such as Nightingale, anything is possible. Austen’s passing was thrown with solid accuracy.
It was an all around great effort by the Pumas and it payed off in the long run. A huge factor of it came from the offense, led by Austen Nightingale, and his stellar wide receivers. Austen recorded two rushing touchdowns as well. Nightingale has set high standards to meet next week. The Pumas offense recorded over 200 yards on the game. The defense played solid, but the offense proved their worthiness in the game as they won with a final score of 53-18.
