Do you believe in miracles?
That was a little over-the-top, but so is the Pumas’ play this second-half of their season.
Perry continued their outstanding play on Wednesday night to stifle the Skyline defense, and offense, by winning 68-55. It was never a close game, as the Pumas jumped out to a 22-5 first quarter lead and used their momentum to stay ahead.
It is nearly impossible to write a Pumas basketball story without mentioning junior Jordan Howard; but with his scoring average being nearly 26 a game, why bother complaining?
Howard continued his inhumane-play last night as head scored 27 points, including 5-8 from three-point land.
The kid’s unstoppable.
Joining in on the action was junior Geoffrey Vredvoogd as he contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
The rest of the team was able to stop Skyline, mainly on defense, from doing anything productive the whole night.
The Pumas’ next game is scheduled for Jan. 25 against Highland.
