One of the biggest aspects is the size of the college. Yes going to a smaller school may seem less expensive but that’s not always the case.
Going to a bigger university can range from many prices depending on if it is out of state or in state. There also tends to be more scholarships for larger universities. Colleges that have more students attending them receive more funding which gives the students a chance for better professors and more resources to use that can increase a students education.
Not only is it a bigger school for more space but there are more people and a greater diversity. Students from all around the world attend big colleges for a better education. And with more diversity students have a greater chance of getting a more enjoyable roommate. With so many students and kids having one or two roommates every students wants the perfect one. At a bigger college with more students kids are more likely to get a roommate they can relate too.
With more people come more choices for a major. Larger colleges have a tendency to offer additional majors and a broader selection of courses to take. This assists students who have a very specific career in mind. Along with more class there are also is the choice of big or small classes. Some students prefer bigger classes in lecture halls, others prefer small more intimate classes for a better learning environment. At a larger university students have the opportunity to pick what they want.
Choosing a college can be scary but getting the facts and knowing what you want is where students should start. Going to a bigger college gives you so many more opportunities and choices to make yourself known and have a better college experience. When students think of college they think of a big university with students and teachers, classes big and small, a roommate who becomes a best friend and late nights just trying to pass and attending a big college gives them just that.
