With homecoming finally here and all detail preparing for spirit week and all HC activities, august 29th through September 3rd, StoGo, Mrs Johnson and some homecoming court members give us info on the union homecoming give us.
“That’s our goal, We want to have more of a family atmosphere…… we have talked about what are kids gonna remember when they leave” states Mrs Johnson referring the the activities going under way, and how they plan to give students the best high school experience possible.
Johnson states that traditions have changed over Perry’s school years, it’s very more technologically advanced. Perry has a twitter Instagram and now snap chat. Perry is trying to be much more connected to students in new and more innovative way. And the thing that Jonson has noticed is that over the years in seeing more participation, that try to get students hyped up and make theme enjoy their high school experience.
StoGo member Daniel Estrada gives us a student view on homecoming. It’s definitely gotten more exciting to attend because while Perry is still a pretty new school we are trying to give an identity and it is definitely a unifying thing for us here.
“ It’s more of a character thing then popularity,if your more evolved and friendly,it’s an honor……popular has a bad commendation, it shows more about your character”. Says Estada
Estrada recognizes that homecoming is almost a rite of passage for someone’s high school experience, it’s a night where we get dressed up and feel special, all grades unified as one.
Homecoming court member Taylor lEisure thinks all students should go to dances and have fun and enjoy school. “School Is more than just grades and sports it’s also about having fun and having an awesome high school experience”.
Its very clear that from all sourced homecoming really connects us as a community it’s a natural right of passage in high school that should be taken advantage of.
