All across america, students from pre-school to high school are waking up a little later than they would on a typical Monday morning.
In the cities, busses are a little emptier, light rails and subways a little quieter and cubicles left vacant for the conclusion of another three-day weekend. For English teacher Darren Johnson, however, it is critically important that people remember that the day is to remember – to celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and perhaps more importantly, his message.
