A Look Inside Young Republican’s Club
With the presidential election approaching quickly and the biggest population of voters being the younger generation, students need to have a safe place to discuss how they feel about certain political issues. Why not start a club to help students feel secure expressing their opinions?
“The Young Republicans club is a group of students with republican values, who wanted to get together and talk about current events and what’s happening in the country,” Paul Kreutz, U.S. History teacher explains.
Mr. Kreutz helped sponsor the Young Republican’s club so that students on campus can have that safe place where they can express their feelings without judgement.
“This group of young students meet every other week to talk about current events and issues.” Kreutz explains. Current, controversial issues are the topic of every club meeting.
Such a club is very important to have as the upcoming election is a chance for the younger generation to finally have their say in political matter, especially with students being so close to adulthood.
“Clubs are a great way to meet people with similar interests.” Kreutz elaborates. With politics so rampant in society, it’s key to find people with similar interests as another, especially in an environment such as school where politics are everywhere whether it’s history class or voting for student council representatives.
