Choir In Winter Fest
When the warm clothing comes out and your breath puts steam through the air, it’s a sign that it’s that wonderful time of the year. Christmas is coming soon and the Puma Nation has something special up their sleeves. For our Puma Choir, rehearsals are coming up to get them ready for this year’s Winter Festival.
Around the end of the year, the PHS Winter Fest gives people the joy they need to have a successful Christmas. Usually, choir’s involvement in Winter Fest is no surprise to some. When asking Mr. Little, choir and guitar teacher, about choir’s involvement, he replies with “From the beginning.”
Mr. Little has been involved with the PHS Winter Fest since it has first begun, and as usual, teachers’ involvement in Winter Fest is common. “All of the teachers work together to make it come together and we have a finally that brings it all together.” stated Mr. Little. Many of the teachers that are A&E worthy are mainly involved in the Winter Fest Finally.
All choirs are involved in Winter Fest year, which includes intermediate, advanced women, concert, and jazz/show choir. “I got all my choirs singing at least one song.” Mr. Little says.
However, this year’s fest is being shortened, unlike previous years. “One thing we are doing that’s new is we’re cutting back a number of pieces that we’re doing so that Winter Fest is shorter timed,” Says Mr. Little, “so that everyone can get in and see what they want and be out in probably about an hour.”
Choir has proven that they are capable of doing what needs to be done, and singing in Winter Fest will not be a problem. They have the attitude and the voices to pacify a baby. “ It looks like it’s gonna be great.” says Mr. Little.
Pre Rehearsals have begun and the Winter Fest will take place at the auditorium on Dec. 5th and 6th. Mr. Little feels that his choir team is more than ready for the joyful upcoming display. “It’s going great, we’re gonna be ready” Mr. Little says.
