Varsity volleyball season ends at semi-finals

After ending their regular season with a record of 33-8, varsity boys volleyball played in the first round of playoffs on Friday, May 6, 2022. The boys played against number 14, Liberty High School. Liberty has a season record of 9-15 and has beat teams such as Red Mountain, and Shadow Ridge. 

Perry, ranked 3, beat Liberty 3-0. The set scores were 25-9, 25-11, and 25-13. Videos of the match points can be found on Twitter at @perry_pumas, on the Perry High Athletics page, courtesy of Michelle Daly. 

The boys then competed against Chandler, number 6, on May 10 at 6 p.m., at Perry. Chandler has a season record of 17-20 and later lost 3-1 to the Pumas. 

Semi-Final matches were held Thursday night at 6 pm, against Highland. Highland is ranked number 2. The boys lost 0-3, with the set scores being 18-25, 11-25, and 22-25.
