Fun Ideas For Mother’s Day During Quarantine
Mother’s day is an important holiday dedicated to all of the loving mothers who make many sacrifices just to make sure their children are happy. It isn’t surprising that the majority of people want to spoil their mothers on this day, but now with current issues it can be difficult to enjoy with family.
Due to the coronavirus, it has sent most into quarantine unable to go outside. On Mother’s Day, many people just simply like to go out for lunch or go to the movies, but unfortunately for this year that has to be put on hold. Quarantine can be boring although there are ways to celebrate this holiday indoors.
According to Mayo Clinic (used for medical research), “You can still make a little exercise go a long way toward stress management.” This means any sort of exercise such as yoga or even playing the Wii with your family can not only reduce stress but it is also a fun healthy activity for Mothers Day.
Another mother-approved idea is breakfast in bed. Who doesn’t like to be woken up with the smell of their favorite food at arms reach? A quick, healthy, and delicious breakfast-in-bed food are whole grain waffles. Whole grain has many health benefits, a few being: “It helps to reduce the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, bone fracture, and dementia”, Medical Daily says.
For mothers, nothing is better than your children making you a homemade project that came from the heart. During this quarantine, you can decorate a wreath for the front door so that after quarantine, that is the only thing your guests will talk about. Amanda Garrity, one of the authors for GH (A website for DIY projects and lifestyle tips), says: “budding blooms, bold colors, and vibrant greenery..” is the best way to decorate an eye catching wreath. You can also add fruits, flowers, and berries for a more festive look.
All of these quarantine activities you can use to surprise your mother will make her day brighter in these unfortunate times. Don’t just sign your name on a card, make this day as special as she is!
