Red, White, and Boom creates an explosion on campus
2019 MORP has great success on campus
The unforgettable comeback of colored powder had a return for 2019 Morp “Red, White, and Boom.” Students got to dance the night away with friends as special appearances of colored powder, food trucks, and exploding visits from lots of fireworks occurred throughout the eventful evening.
Leading up to the big day students got hyped up by spirit week, showing up to school in Western gear, favorite sports team jerseys and workout clothes among other various spirited apparel. Ending the week with non-other than a fun filled assembly to get the students pumped up for the following night.
“We wanted to make it a night to remember. So many people still talk about out the color craze dance because it went over everyone expectations. We wanted to have that same idea but up that this year.” Junior stugo member Mikayla Ness states.
As students entered they were greeted with several lines of delicious food trucks, and given a festive USA themed wristband in order to easily get in and out of the dance.
Students partied the night away as they slowly got more and more covered in the colored powder.
“It was super fun, me and my friends loved the colored powder and overall idea; especially since i couldn’t go to the original color craze morp a few years back, I feel like this in a sense was even better with the fireworks and everything.” junior Christian Greenhalgh stated.
Very similar to the 2017 color craze dance it was a fun and messy time for everyone involved. “getting everything prepared obviously took a lot of time and effort from us all [Stugo]. We had to make 2000 bags for the three color drops which ended up being in the colors red, white, and blue to obviously match the theme.” Mikayla Ness claims.
“ A lot of people are skeptical about going to morp as a junior or senior since they say it’s just for underclassman but honestly with some friends and a good attitude it’s always a blast no matter the grade you may be in.” Christian Greenhalgh adds on.
Red, white, and boom was sure a night students (and their stained clothes) will be sure to not ever forget. Now stugo will up their game one last time in the school year for 007 James Bond themed prom on April 13th at Rawhide Center.
