Are high school hallways over crowded

Overcrowded Hallways

High school can be a very stressful for a lot of students. One thing students look forward to is for class to end so they can get just five minutes of saying “hey” to their friends.

Students have started to become careless with the time they are given between classes and due to the hallways becoming overcrowded the hallway situation is getting dangerous and hectic.

Yes students are still getting to class, but it doesn’t beat the fact that students are three to five minutes late.

Not only are kids getting careless but they are lacking common courtesy.

I admit it can be frustrating to get through multiple students but there is still polite ways to handle situations like this. It’s understandable that sometimes you get mad and just want to push and shove but accidentally bumping into someone you shouldn’t get an eye roll or a brash comment.

Students have become so rude when it comes to the hallways that they are just starting to not care about anyone but themselves.

There’s always that one couple who just pulls to the side to start kissing or hold hands and then take forever to walk through everyone. Of course the kids that just randomly get in groups and stop right in the smack middle of the hallway and talk about the latest gossip.Lastly the have the kids with the big and bulky bags that are just walking around not giving a care who they are pushing into the walls.

It’s easy to think that you can just calmly tell someone “excuse me” but when they look at you five times as your saying it and finally decide to move they still give you that lovely look like you just made the biggest mistake.

It’s now getting to the point where it’s not healthy or sanitary. There’s so many crowded kids just getting squeezed together and all around kids are coughing and sneezing and not paying attention that they could be coughing on someone.

Even though it may seem like a little problem in this big school I still believe there should be some hallway monitors or hallways lanes that could be made.

I get  there is not a great chance or possibility that the hallways can be made larger but it’s possible that with a little more structure for the students it can fix the issues and can cause the hectic hallway to become more calmer.
