Tennis Serves into a Great Season
The boys and girls varsity tennis team has had some great success in their recent tournaments`. The team has only suffered one loss to the state ranked team, Chaparral only losing by 2 games. Yet they came back to get first place in their first tournament.
Sophomore Elyse Policastro, describes the team as “a home, we have done a lot of outside activities as a team making our bond stronger.” This new vibe that the team is bringing forward has ultimately shown on the court.
The Varsity boys team has recently won against district competing school, Basha, with a win of 8-1 and a loss against Chaparral with the final score of 2-7. The recent win has put the varsity boys team at number four in state.
On the other hand, the girls team has played three games, winning 7-2 against Millennium and losing 2-7 against Basha and Chaparral with the score of 3-6, ranking them number five in the state.
