Girl’s basketball finishes successful season
With a record of 14-14, the Perry Girls Basketball team lost in the second round of playoffs to Tucson High 50-21. Even with this tough loss, the girls had one of their best seasons yet.
They started off this season with really high expectations This year is the first year that the girls basketball team hosted the first round off playoff against Basha, and won that game 46-44.
Their success is not only shown by their record, but in the attitudes on and off the court. The players credit their success to Coach Andrew Curtis.
He came into Perry’s program and changed the girls’ mindset, and with this new mental status they were able to play to the best of their ability.
Fighting through grueling practices, they made sacrifices to get better.
The team grew as individuals and as a family, learning how to work and play better as a team.
