Sports Brief
The JV softball team is off to an impressive 15-0 start to the season. The team has been crushing opponents left and right.
The girls have recorded a total of six shutout wins including a 22-2 pounding of Queen Creek. To have a season like this, the team has relied on impressive plays by the entire squad.
The team is lead by junior Peyton Swane on the mound with some relief from freshman Lexi Hopper. Swane has pitched almost every game to its entirety with a tremendous defense behind her.
Besides great pitching, the team has had a lot of success offensively. Players like sophomore Jasmine Parker and junior Baily Rohde have lead the team in home runs. On top of hitting multiple home runs, the girls are averaging just over 13 runs a game.
Being able to play strongly on both sides of the game has been the key for the success of the JV team.
