The Battle for Val Vista continued with Friday’s conference away game against the rival Basha Bears. The Pumas topped the Bears in an exciting match of 54-42. Jumping out to an early lead, the Pumas were able to share the team’s point scoring. Although the Howard brothers combined for 32 points, senior Jake Mortensen put up 12 points and 5 rebounds against a tough Basha secondary. Perry faces off against Desert Vista next in a home conference game on January, 14.
