Upcoming events for the week of homecoming
Homecoming is approaching quickly, and this upcoming week is filled with many events and activities to celebrate the occasion. Showcase your school spirit and have some fun by attending these various functions.
Monday, August 29th: Movie Night
There will be a screening of the movie “Unbroken” at 7pm in the school auditorium. “Unbroken” is about an Olympian overcoming his struggles on the onset of WWII, and persevering throughout his journey. There will also be food trucks at this event including Hot Cookie, Mustache Pretzel, and a popcorn/kettlecorn truck. Come watch if you are looking for good food and entertainment to spice up your Monday night.
Thursday, September 1st: Homecoming Carnival
The homecoming carnival is just around the corner, and there will be plenty of reasons to attend. Drama club is bringing back their beloved haunted house, the theme ‘Journey to the Olympics’ which will include chilling scenes like plane crashes and other scares to make your skin crawl. There will also be an assortment of food trucks, as well as various games set up by different clubs. The carnival goes from 4pm-7pm.
Friday, September 2nd: Pep Assembly/Homecoming Game
The first pep assembly of the year is set for Friday, a perfect transition to the homecoming game that same night at 7pm. The Pumas will be playing at home, taking on Westwood. Come support the Pumas at the highly anticipated game.
Saturday, September 3rd: Homecoming Dance
The dance is set to begin at 7pm and goes until 10pm. Students should wear formal attire, and the dance will be held in the auditorium where it will be decked out to match its theme ‘The Fire Within.’
