Chandler CARE Center awarded money for programs and services
The Chandler CARE Center was recently awarded $398,568 as they continue to provide education, parenting programs, and medical assistance for those in need. They were granted the money through an Inter-Govermental Agreement with the Arizona First Things First program.
“Most of the money is going to go to the medical and dental services” says Chandler CARE center secretary, Maria Soto. A large portion will go to the medical and dental programs in the CARE center to help many get the care they need.
The money will go to several different programs in the CARE center, most of which are educational. The money will go to many classes for children and adults such as Brain Time Classes and Learning Together Classes. Extracurricular programs such as music and art classes will also benefit from the fund.
A total of $38,400 will be used for WeCAN and Eat Play Grow programs. A smaller amount will go to Zumba classes for parents and children, and to CPR and First Aid.
Chandler CARE Center volunteer, Stephanie Byrne believes the money was well earned. “I think it’s great. They do a lot for the community and help a lot of people in need. I think this money will allow them to help even more.”
Another volunteer, Karen Eades also believes this money will benefit the CARE Center. “What they do is really amazing and they help so many families.” She thinks that the money will help many of their programs become even more successful, “They have a lot of great programs for parents and their kids, and I they will be able to make them even more successful.”
The Chandler CARE Center helps many families on a daily basis and provides them with the services they need. With such a large amount of money, they will definitely continue to change lives.
