IMPACT brings a new change to Perry and elementary schools

IMPACT is the club one of the many clubs on campus that is making a change. The clubs stance against bullying shows when teal ribbons show up on everyone’s shirts and backpacks during Ally Week.

Taking place Oct. 28-Nov. 1 the club is having students take the pledge to stand up against bullying and fight for those who do not have  a voice and in return students will receive a teal ribbon the show off their support.

The club has big plans this year in hopes of going to elementary schools throughout the district to preach their message of anti-bullying to children.

The plan for the elementary school visits is to teach the kids about bullying through a variety show. “This year we are going to some elementary schools so we can broaden the change that we are making,” comments President of the club and senior Heaven Ringle. Singing, dancing, acting and music will all be used to show how bullying affects people.

Ringle says “ We’re hoping that by doing this other schools will have a domino effect and carry out our traits.”
