Sal’s Gilbert Pizza opened in 2006 bringing New York style pizza to Arizona and they have been growing ever since. They were even featured on the Food network show Diners, Drive in’s and Dives. Sal’s brings true authentic Italian food to the East Valley. According to  reviews, Sal’s is the “best Italian food, pizza found in Arizona.”

The staff is friendly and attentive to all their customers and the manager goes around and chats with the customers to see if they are having a nice time and enjoying their meals. The owners even make the effort to introduce  themselves to customers when they are not too busy. Sal’s looks and breathes Italian from the inside and out. Inside has dim lighting and gives off a cozy ambiance of the pizzeria. 

The menu provides guests with a backstory of how Sal’s began. For all the food lovers out there is not just pizza there are  affordable varieties of all sorts; pasta, salad, wings, calzones, strombolis, subs, and other Italian entrees. If you still have room left try their sweet cream filled Cannolis they are absolutely delicious. 

Just like any other dine in restaurants like Red Lobster with their biscuits, Texas Roadhouse with their rolls. Sal’s has their signature fresh baked garlic knots that come out hot and ready to enjoy.

Although, there is a wait about 30 minutes if you come around dinner rush which usually starts around 6 p.m. After you get seated, order, and eat the last thing that will be on your mind is the wait. Once you dig in you will realize that it was worth it.

Dropping by once a week at Sal’s or even once a month to try out a new dining spot whether it is to go, or to pickup, or to sit down and enjoy with your friends or family or even by yourself, no one is judging.

Sal’s Gilbert Pizza never disappoints and is the perfect spot to spend a fulfilling afternoon or to have a nice evening. For those of you who do not like to try new things, it never hurts to branch out every once in a while.
