Finding Franchises

Two well-known Arizona franchises open on Power and Ray Roads giving a closer alternative

In existence now for just a few short weeks, two new local Arizona favorites have just opened in the same plaza: Black Rock Coffee Bar and Los Favoritos Taco Shop, on southeast corner of Power and Ray Roads in Mesa.

The Portland-based coffee chain made its debut in Arizona in 2016 with just one store in Chandler, after enjoying much success in the Northwest.

With over 30 menu items, it’s likely everyone can find something to drink. Even if you’re not a coffee drinker, Black Rock has “coffeeless” options including hot cocoa, Italian soda, and flavored shakes.

Just theee stores down is the famous Los Favoritos. Its first store opened in Arizona in 2001, and has since been feeding hungry teens and adults alike. The most notable example we all know and love mere feet away.

The name has since changed to Papa Chevo’s, but the menu items and quality of food and service still remains the same, just like in the new Los.

In addition, the same Los atmosphere can be expected. Quiet, small, and clean, this new Los boasts a modern-looking interior with high open ceilings and wood paneling on the floor, tables, and counter.

These two new franchises are sure to give the Pumas who live in the Mesa and Queen Creek areas a closer alternative and a good time.
