New self-serve frozen yogurt shop, Menchies
Due to the increasing demand of frozen yogurt, new stores are popping up everywhere, including close to home. Menchie’s is the new self-serve frozen yogurt shop located on Gilbert and Germann next to Chipotle and near Jamba Juice. Its playful colors and theme attract crowds to taste their delicious flavors.
Founders Danna and Adam Caldwell fell in love at a frozen yogurt place on their first date and from that common love of frozen yogurt they started the shop Menchie’s. From that point on, business grew, leading it to become a franchise with 350 restaurants around the world including Canada, Puerto Rico, and England.
They offer 14 various types of yogurt including strawberry, banana, cake batter, red velvet, ice cream sandwich and black cherry tart. All of these flavors were sweet and tasty, to satisfy cravings in a delicious way. But the flavor that beats them all is the red velvet and cake batter. It tastes like eating a scrumptious cake that melts in your mouth. They rotate the flavors weekly between the other 100 flavors of yogurt. All of the Menchie’s yogurt is non-fat, low fat, with no additional sugar. There are also over 70 rotating toppings to add to the froyo, including freshly prepared fruit.
Costing only .46 cents per oz, with the choice of a cup or a waffle cone cup. Menchie’s is very different from the usual self serve fro-yo shop. The Menchie’s experience is all about making guests smile. The restaurant is a comfortable size and offers a relaxing atmosphere that is great for friends to hang out or to host a party. When hosting a party at Menchie’s, sometimes Menchie (the shop’s mascot) himself will visit the store usually between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Menchie’s is open every day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm and Fridays and Saturdays the store is open until 11:00 pm. Menchie’s is a wonderful addition to the Gilbert area.
