PCs are the best (and cheapest) for gaming

In the battle of the fanboys it is clear that Windows and Apple have found themselves in the limelight. However, those who sing Apple’s praises overlook that Apple is a gaming nightmare, beyond overpriced, and hardware cannot be upgraded without a headache.

For those PC gamers out there contemplating, owning a Mac would be a substantial waste of money. Apple flaunted that their iMacs would feature high-end Nvidia graphics cards on their website, which are capable of high resolutions and smooth graphics, but are not present in the base model. They will also go to waste seeing as how numerous popular video game titles are not available on Apple’s Operating system including, Skyrim, Deadpool, Battlefield 4, and Arkham Origins, etc. So all that overpriced power just went to waste.

Also, while the cheapest new iMac costs $1300, building a gaming desktop with better capabilities would cost around $895. Even for those who do not know how to build a desktop or are unwilling to learn, it is always an option to pay someone to build it which is typically inexpensive.

Upgrading or fixing hardware on a Mac is borderline impossible whether it is finding parts that fit or having the specific tools to remove the glass.

On a desktop it is as simple as two hand screws to remove the case and replacing the part. This is convenient if a part burns out, or if it is just time to get a new piece that is more capable. Regardless, being able to get a new $200 part is exponentially cheaper than buying an entirely new Mac.

Once the facts are set straight it’s pretty obvious why 89.94% of users have a Windows OS according to PCWorld.
