Perry vs Basha

After the Pumas’ overwhelming victory over Hamilton, with a final score of 55-21, the team is prepping for their next game on October 28 against the Basha Bears.

Since 2011, Perry has only won one of fives games against Basha: 56-38(W), 34-14(L), 49-0(L), 28-11(L), and 56-28(L).

Being the last game of the season, the anticipation is as high as can be. Perry’s 9-1 record is not only the best in the school’s history, it has gotten the team ranked 4th in the state, under Chandler, Saguaro, and Mountain Pointe.

In any other season, many would expect Basha to take the win. But with this year’s abundance of success, the tables may turn.

With Perry’s 9-1 record and Basha’s 6-3, there are high hopes for the Pumas. Many believe Perry’s improving stats have led to their success in 2016. Although Basha and Perry’s stats for this season are similar, anything is possible. As long as the Pumas put up a strong defense, another victory is definitely in the cards.
