A broken system

It’s not secret that Arizona underfunds public education. The state is at or near the bottom in every education-geared ranking in the nation, and still the Legislature struggles to take action.

Our reporters went to the top of the Chandler Unified School District to find out how CUSD schools are funded, and what the district does with the money it receives from the state.
